He Touched Me - Heather Headley

This wonderful rendition from Heather Headley of "He Touched Me" will give you chills.  This is that rare video that can be watched over and over again.

"He Touched Me" was written by Ira Levin and Milton Schafer for their 1965 musical "Drat! The Cat!" which starred Lesley Ann Warren, Elliott Gould and Beth Howland (who later earned fame in "Company.")  

Although the show closed after only 8 performances, Elliott's wife at the time, Barbra Streisand, went on to include the song on 8 albums - including her "Greatest Hits."  That's a lot to live up to, but Heather makes the song her own with this beautiful rendition.

Heather has appeared on Broadway in "The Lion King" and won the Tony Award for "Best Actress in a Musical" in 2000 for her role in "Aida."  She's been nominated for two Grammy Awards.
