Todd Adamson

Todd Adamson

Todd is originally from Charleston, SC, where he studied acting at Charleston County School of the Arts under the direction of Michael Locklair and Marybeth Clark. During his senior year of high school, Todd won “Best Duet Musical” at the International Thespian Festival in Lincoln, NB and was selected to sing for over 3,000 students from all over the world and receive private coaching with leading vocal instructor, Kristen Linklater. Todd honed his vocal technique and musicianship from the late June Bonner, who always taught him to sing in a healthy manner and, of course, with passion.

Todd studied musical theater at Penn State University and has lived in New York City for the last seven years. Todd is a proud member of Actors Equity Association and received his Equity card by being cast as Herb in the first national tour of Junie B. Jones, directed by Broadway’s Peter Flynn with musical direction by the writing team, Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich. Todd co-produces and performs in the annual Unsung Concert benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA), in which he's starred along with Tony Award winner Karen Ziemba (Contact), Lea Michelle (GLEE, Spring Awakening), the Broadway Boys, Carey Anderson (Mamma Mia, Avenue Q), Marcus Paul James (RENT, In the Heights), Kaitlin Hopkins (The Grinch, Bat Boy) as well as many other incredible Broadway veterans. This one night only event premieres new music from the composers and lyricists in the Broadway community such as Andrew Lippa, Lawrence O’Keefe, etc… Todd opened for the infamous Lady Chablis from the movie, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil for the Piccolo Spoleto Festival. Todd performed for two years with Oceania Cruises as a principal male vocalist and has traveled extensively throughout the Mediterranean and Baltic Seas.

Todd recently starred in the workshop musical, Blast from the Past, directed by Broadway veteran, Brad Moranz. During the summer of 2010, Todd can be seen playing Matthew in Altar Boyz and Chris in the professional premiere of the play, Who? Maid? Who? directed by Guy Stroman. After those two shows, Todd will perform on Fire Island for the 5th Annual BROADWAY AT THE BEACH, hosted by Brandon Cutrell. The August 23rd performance will feature Todd along with A Chorus Line's Jessica Lee Goldyn, Spelling Bee's Kevin Smith Kirkwood, Yank's David Perlman, and Gypsy's Tony Yazbeck. Should be a fun summer!
