Being Alive is a song from the Broadway musical, Company. Music and lyrics for the song were written by Stephen Sondheim. The song is the ultimate song sung by the main character, Bobby, at the end of the second act.

The song was originally sung by Dean Jones in the 1970 Broadway cast. However, Dean was going through marital problems and, despite positive reviews, left the show two weeks into its run. Larry Kert, who won fame as Tony in West Side Story replaced him. Dean's voice is heard on the original cast album while Larry appears in a bonus track on a newly-digitalized CD released in 1998.
