Sam Willmott

Sam Willmott is a composer/lyricist heralding from the Washington, DC area.

Sam's compositions and arrangements have been performed at Interlochen Arts Camp, the CAP21 Conservatory, and Muhlenberg College as well as other venues. His songs have been critically lauded for their "soaring melodies and amazing passion" and described as making "the spirit erupt" (Song of the Year Competition 2007, in reference to I Won't Let My Heart Break Again). His most recent theatrical endeavor, Standardized Testing - The Musical!!!! premiered to sold-out audiences at the TADA! Theatre in New York City in March 2008.

Sam's training and academic background includes Interlochen Arts Camp, Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, and the CAP21 Conservatory in New York University – Tisch School of the Arts. He is currently studying Music Composition at NYU in the Steinhardt School of Culture under Dr. Joseph Church. His awards include Interlochen's prestigious Maddy Summer Artist Award (their highest award for artistic achievement), and two National Capital Area Cappie Awards.
