Marla Mindelle
Marla's impressive 9 octave range garnered her a fifth Tony award, beating out Audra McDonald to much delight.
Kidding.
Marla's most recent role on Broadway is Sister Mary Robert in Sister Act.
She made her Broadway debut in the ensemble of the 2008 revival of South Pacific at Lincoln Center.
Prior to that, she played the role of Kitty in the first national tour of The Drowsy Chaperone.
Other credits include Queenie in The Wild Party at the New Repertory Theatre, Gussie Carnegie in Merrily we Roll Along,
Woman 2 in Songs for a New World and Katherine in Scott Alan's Piece at the NYMF.
Perhaps you've seen some of her best work, her YouTube alter ego, singing deranged Disney standards like
"Part of Your World" and "Colors of the Wind." If you haven't seen those videos, you should.
They may both impress you and ruin your life at the same time.
Finally, Marla is the proud daughter of Stephen Weiner, composer of the songs Tall Quiet Guy and Deli
which are included in Marla's videos below.
His latest musical project is The Hudsucker Proxy based upon
the 1994 hit movie. It is slated for the 2009-2010 broadway season.
