Mara Jill Herman

Mara graduated from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia with a BFA in Musical Theatre in 2007. Philadelphia credits include Nerds:// A Musical Software Satire (Sally u/s-perf) - Philadelphia Theatre Company, Side By Side By Sondheim (Woman # 2 u/s) - Walnut Street Theatre and Debbie Does Dallas (Lisa) - Philly Fringe Festival. Mara helped develop Dollface and performed as a soloist at the Prince Music Theatre. She was also selected as the first alternate for Peter Nero’s Voices of the Pops in the spring of 2008.

Since graduating, recent NYC credits include The Dream Palace (New World Stages), Monday Nights, New Voices (Duplex), The Four (Prospect Theatre Co.), The $trip (Ars Nova), Brunch (Wild Project) and Tess (York). Other regional favorites include Baby (Lizzie) - Stage Door Theatre, Love's Labour’s Lost (Maria) - Utah Shakespearean Festival and The Sound of Music (Liesl) Forestburgh Playhouse. Recent recordings include Stage Stars' West Side Story ("Somewhere") and Mamma Mia! (Ali).

Mara is excited to live in Midtown and hopes to make her Broadway debut in the near future.
