Katie Thompson is a critically acclaimed recording artist and musical theatre performer. Her solo albums include "Private Page" (2011), "KT LIVE" (2005) and "What I've Done Right" (2001). Katie has been featured on many musical theatre recordings, including Scott Alan's "Dreaming Wide Awake" (Say Goodbye), Bobby Cronin's "Reach the Sky" (The Best is Yet to Come), Kerrigan & Lowdermilk's "Our First Mistake" (Five & a Half Minutes) and Joey Contreras' "Love Me, Love Me Not" (With Him).

Her theatre credits include Giant (Dallas Theatre), Spidermusical (Mint Theatre), Giant (Signature Theatre), Bloodties (NYMF), Cloaked (CAP 21), Ripper (NAMT), R.R.R.E.D. (NYMF & The Grove Theatre in LA), The Lighthouse Project (NY Workshop with Duncan Sheik) and Piece (NAMT).

Katie is an active participant in many events, including Cutting-Edge Composers II (Canal Room), The Public Sings (Joe's Pub), Welcome to the White House - for the First Lady (Washington D.C), Broadway in South Africa (Gershwin), Defying Inequality (Gershwin), Katie & Friends (Birdland) and Eden Espinosa "ME" (Joe's Pub).

Katie's work is widely recognized. She's been nominated for several LA Weekly Theater Awards: Best Musical Performance nomination and Best Musical Director nomination. Katie's version of "Heaven is a Place on Earth" was featured in Stacey Tookey's Emmy-nominated contemporary routine for "So You Think You Can Dance" in 2011. Katie's music has been featured on "So You Think You Can Dance" America, Canada and the UK.
