Judy Garland Show
Through a career that spanned 45 of her 47 years, Judy Garland attained international stardom as an actress in
both musical and dramatic roles, as a recording artist and on the concert stage.
Garland debuted a weekly television series, The Judy Garland Show, on September 29, 1963.
The show was critically praised, but for a variety of reasons (including being placed in the time slot opposite Bonanza on NBC)
the show lasted only one season and was cancelled in 1964 after 26 episodes.
Despite its short run, the series was nominated for four Emmy Awards.
Although not a success for Judy, the show left a lasting legacy of wonderful performances by Judy and her guests.
