Holland Mariah Grossman

Holland began studying classical voice at the age of 13 and soon discovered her love for musical theatre, portraying a variety of roles both in high school and with a county-wide theatre group in south Florida. Productions included SEUSSICAL (Gertrude) and GREASE (Sandy).

Holland's study of acting and voice continued at Interlochen Center for the Arts over the course of three years, graduating from the high school program as a Theatre Arts major. Shows included JEKYLL & HYDE (Lucy), FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (Golde), A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD (Mother Frog) which toured to New York City. She proudly represented Interlochen as a vocal soloist in their "Collage" performance.

Three years at Interlochen helped prepare Holland for the University of Michigan where she received her BFA in Musical Theatre. She is endlessly grateful for the incomparable faculty and for having the opportunity to work with some of the best and brightest young performers in the country. Holland's performances include SEE ROCK CITY (Dodi), UNDER MILK WOOD (Polly Garter) and DOG SEES GOD (Lucy). Holland also originated principal roles in two brand new musical works, ELLA MINNOW PEA (Houston LaGreer) written by Burkell and Loesel, and GIBSON FLECK (Caroline) written by classmates AJ Holmes, Carlos Valdes and Ali Gordon. In her final musical at the University of Michigan, Holland had the special opportunity to perform in a classic, BRIGADOON (Fiona).

Holland has performed in several NYC shows, including a starring role in BECKY NEEDS TO GET LAID (Becky). Holland has been a featured vocal soloist with Carner and Gregor at their BARELY LEGAL EXTRAVAGANZA, a showcase of up and coming musical theatre performers and songwriters. She recently performed with Neil Sedaka in a special tribute concert honoring the legendary singer/songwriter in THE CONCERT ON THE GREEN.

Holland will make her Broadway debut in the fall of 2012 in REBECCA THE MUSICAL (Clarice - U/S "I").
