Adam Guettel (pronounced Gettle) is an American musical theater composer and lyricist best known for 2005's The Light in the Piazza, for which he won a Tony Award for Best Original Score (Music and/or Lyrics) Written for the Theatre as well as the award for Best Orchestrations.
