Broadway Bares

Broadway Bares XX (20) was held on Sunday, June 20, 2010; two shows were presented at the Roseland Ballroom. Make your donations now (even $5, $10 or $20 helps!)

In 2008 and again in 2009, Broadway Bares raised over $800,000 each year for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA). In 2010, though, Broadway Bares raised over $1M for the first time. In 2008, BC/EFA provided $10M in AIDS-related grants across the U.S. - and since 1987, total grants approach $175M.

BC/EFA's grantmaking has two emphases. The first is The Actors' Fund of America. BC/EFA currently supports five major social service programs at The Fund, each of which provides direct assistance to entertainment industry professionals and performing artists who are dealing with a variety of problems, including AIDS, HIV, and HIV-related issues. The second major grantmaking effort is the National Grants Program, through which BC/EFA makes grants twice a year to hundreds of community-based AIDS Service organizations across the country.

"Official" Broadway Bares website

On June 22, 2009, the "Broadway Bares" website went live. It includes a full video from ten of the past shows as well as many photos and other information. Check it out!

We've now added a number of videos from the 2009 benefit (down the page below.) Warning: the sound quality on some of these videos is pretty bad - and quite loud. Be prepared to turn down your speakers.
