In addition to its seemingly endless coverage of the 2008 Beijing Games, NBC is providing very high-quality
video feeds of many events. Many of them are several hours long - with no more than a single advertisement.
NBC provides great feeds with and without commentary. If you've ever wanted to see an event from the perspective
of a front-row coach, give these incredible videos a try.
Required Browser Add-on
The first time you attempt to view the videos, you'll be prompted to install a Microsoft Silverlight Add-on
that works in either Windows or on a Mac. Follow the prompts to install the software - the results are definitely
worth it. A high-speed Internet connection is required.
Advertising
Some of the videos include a brief advertisement at the start of the video. As far as we've seen, however,
no additional advertisements are included - even in videos more than three hours long.
Beijing Event Videos
NBC provides a broad variety of videos that are well-worth watching - and never before available online:
- Complete coverage - extensive video footage without additional commentary - next best thing to being there
- "As-aired" footage, as shown on NBC television
Coverage Examples
In some cases, NBC offers complete start-to-finish event coverage. In others, only "as-aired" coverage is available.
