Alex Brightman

While most of the other 7 year old boys played baseball and cops and robbers, Alex Brightman was dancing to Gloria Estefan on the fireplace mantle. Growing up on Aerosmith, Billy Ocean, and Utopia, Alex gained a huge appreciation for true vocal rock and roll.

With an affinity for the now, and an appreciation of the classics, Alex loves to create new work on stage and off.

On Broadway, Alex appeared as Boq in Wicked, and was in the company of the history-making, cult-fan musical, Glory Days. Other credits include the World Premiere of Nobody Loves You at The Old Globe in San Diego, the World Premiere of 35MM in New York City, the regional premiere of The History Boys at The Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles, and Next to Normal at the Pioneer Theatre in Utah. He was also featured on Royal Pains on USA and had a recurring role on Important Things w/ Demetri Martin on Comedy Central.

Alex is currently in development of the new musicals, Make Me Bad and Circles, collaborating with composer-lyricist Drew Gasparini. Follow Alex on Twitter @ABrightMonster.
